We have a stickied 'Mods' thread, but that contains a lot of mod-related discussion, so it's hard to find the actual mods, and not all the mods available are linked there. So I thought it would be useful to have a single thread with a mod list in the first post. Please post in the thread if a mod needs to be added. I'll try to keep this post edited to be complete, until either there are too many, or we get a TSM download section at MTS.

Rick: Shimrod: Shimrod's TSM mods are all at. Some mods made for TS3 work (more or less) in TSM, including whole categories of mods. Let's try to keep track of that here too:-) I am sure my starter list is incomplete, feel free to post additions. Here is a simple mod which changes all of the Legendary Traits to FatalFlaws. This allows you to pick the Legendary Traits in Modify-Traits mode instead of flaws. Keeping this active will probably have unknown consequences since there will be no traits tagged as Legendary so I would advise using it only when editing a sim with it enabled and then saving the game and deleting the package and reloading the game. It will keep the legendary trait after that but should be properly tagged as legendary for game purposes.

I would have preferred to have just fixed the CAS dialog but dont know how to do that. Also considered duplicating all of the Legendary traits as FatalFlaws so there were duplicates of the traits but that would probably cause problems with the Fountain quest and create a dependency in saved games. Edit: Realized it sometimes doesn't work correctly in CAS but was working in the Modify Traits dialog if you have debugging enabled. Also had some strange hanging when opening CAS but not sure if it was this or conflict with another mod. Well use at your own risk for now.

I've managed to unlock all the female Knight outfits for use as Profession wear - I've checked them in my game and they show up in CAS; haven't played through with them yet, but they should be fine. I will start work on unlocking the male Knight outfits, and then the helmets for both sexes. I've enabled them for the Monarch, Knight and Spy. I would like to post them up for others to use in their game, but am not sure if that's against the rules or not.? I've kinda run into a road block with the Knight outfits - I have found on SimCri's website what looks like thumbnails of all the CAS clothing hairs/hats and beards, unlocked or otherwise (here's a link in case it's useful for anyone else -, and I've managed to find 7 of the female Knight outfits and 8 of the male - but there seems to be a couple each side I'm missing as I can't find the right names for them. I did search for like a list of names of the outfits, and I can compare and eliminate as I go, but no luck. I also found the Thumbnails in the game directory, but they had no matching names to with them. Any advice on how I can go about finding those missing few? Now, I'd like to know if there were any skins like(idk if I can post links to other sites so I won't) some other sites but those sites require a subscription. For those sites have HQ skins(Not for males but females) Also, are there any news on 'Male' parts yet? The male skin is very nice just would like the less hairy version to work as well as male parts. I already have that MOD. What I mean is a Doom Staff that is equipped like a sword so your sword using characters such as Monarch, Knight, and Spy can fight with a Scythe instead of a Sword. Because I'm making my DnD party in TSM and one of the character uses a Scythe. Also this is a list of MODs that I recommend. Or she may simply have meant that the list is no longer being maintained. Either way, due to the lack of maintenance, this list is no longer being maintained. I fixed the link for the less hairy skins because it was buried in the messed-up Mods thread that inspired me to impose categories on the forum in the first place.

Basically, before the patch, I was able to make anything mineable, but now, I can't. So, I guess we will not be mining for new items right now. I fixed the gold bars so you can at least buy them and trade them.

I cleaned up the market stalls alot. You should see less crowding of items. I lowered the inventory on the swords and armor. This file is fully compatible with official patch 1.3. I still can't get the crab armor and crab sword buyable, but I'm working on it. And I will try to add more items to buy in the next update.

I've been trying to find a decent replacement for a while since I reinstalled TSM, but the only ones out there are paysite (xSims, Pandora) or not all that nice (grimreefer24601, which apparently doesn't look at all like the screenshots in Sexysims2). Considering all I'm looking for is a little discoloration around the nipples to replace the awful massive mosaic and not otherwise be visible from space you would think it'd be easy, but thus is life.

Richdre's skin was removed, I'm not sure by who, but the direct link to the download (which was on an external site) was dead too last time I checked, so I assume it was removed by the creator?? I'm fairly sure the ones Pandora have are Richdre's anyway since they're pretty much identical to the ones I use. Their technique seems to be to package up what's available free elsewhere and sell it, most of the mods in their 'pack' are Shimrods or SimModders. OK, let's start at the semi-normal (yet undeniably impressive) end of the spectrum to get ourselves warmed up. To begin, we have:

Hmmm. I think Silent Hills' Norman Reedus might be a teensy bit better.

This one is interesting in that it demonstrates some pretty key differences between character creation in Sims 3 and Sims 4. Dany circa Sims 4 looks way more like the genuine article if we're only talking faces, but Sims 3 (plus upgrades and mods) allows for far more robust clothing options, hair styles, nuanced skin tones, and so on. Sims 4 may well end up being a stronger base, but it's got a long way to go. Fingers crossed that somebody mods in dragons. Or just replaces everyone with dragons. I would play The Sims: Dragons, is what I'm saying.

This has evolved into a vile, formulaic excuse for a show. Really nice recreation of the cast, though!

No, for real: how did this happen? Create-A-Sim's sliders don't actually go that far. Somebody's been messing with their game files.

That's just a small sampling of the weird ways players have forced Sims 4's Create-A-Sim to contort and distort flesh. The infernal Bizarro Engine is only just getting revved up, and once the full game comes out I imagine we'll see modders turning it inside-out almost immediately (hopefully not literally; I do not ever, ever, ever want to see an inside-out Sim).

That said, while this new Create-A-Sim offers some really cool options for molding and shaping Sims' physical features, a number of classic options are curiously absent—even basic things like picking clothes colors from a gradient instead of pre-sets. This video from Lazy Game Reviews runs through a lot of those concerns while showing off more weird Sims:

So yeah, the jury's still out on whether or not this one can beat the any-color-you-want pants off Sims 3 and steal its throne. Sims 4 is omitting some pretty major stuff—that's for damn sure—but the question at this point is what that means.

Maybe the new features will be game-changing enough that we won't miss the old ones so much. Or maybe they won't, and we'll always have pool-and-hair-option-shaped holes in our hearts as we weep like toddlers about toddlers (until an expansion pack comes out). Time will tell.
